Calling all Leaders, Associates, Rovers and Venturers …..
Do you have plans for your summer holidays yet? Would you like to spend time having fun and meeting people while enjoying something you are passionate about?
The Combined North Island Summer Camp is run by a group of volunteers in early January in the two years between Jamboree.
Summer Camp is run very similar to a mini-Jamboree where we can prepare both Leaders, Cubs and Scouts for Jamboree, covering some badge work and training, having a whole lot of fun, while meeting other like-minded people from around the North Island.
If you aren’t attending Summer Camp with your Zone, we would love to have you as part of our volunteer staff team on either the Scout camp, or the Cub camp, or both. Your accommodation and food are supplied along with guaranteed fun and entertainment. We will match you as best we can with your passion and support you in your ‘job’ to ensure you feel confident running the various activities alongside other staff members.

Scout Camp Staff are required from 1pm Thursday 2nd January 2025 (campers arrive the following day) until early afternoon Thursday 9th January 2025. Positions available include: (15 required)
- Rambling, Geocaching, Compass
- Pioneering
- Tramping
- Survival
- Cycling
- Kayaking (particularly if you have a charge certificate)
- Crafts – woggles, friendship bracelets etc
- Health and Safety
Cub Camp Staff are required from 2pm Thursday 9th January 2025 (campers arrive the following day) until early afternoon Tuesday 14th January 2025. Positions available include: (16 Adults & up to 10 Venturers required)
- Kayaking (particularly if you have a charge certificate)
- Periscopes
- Crafts including shields and swords
- Knives and Axes
- Flying Fox
- Day hike
- Confidence Course
- Treasure Hunt
- Amazing Race
- Health and Safety
